A versatile soul I’ve always believed in adjusting my visual language to the brief. The language I used for the Yuck Books (Simon and Schuster) would not have been appropriate for a non fiction book for Wren and Rook. If there is a consistency it is in the playfulness of line work, finding humour and always looking for creative solutions rather than cliche. In 2019 I graduated with a Distinction in a Masters in Authorial Illustration from Falmouth University.
After twenty years in the children’s book industry the experience was amazing and blew the doors open on my visual practice.

I still illustrate in the ways I did before and have around 100 books to my name now, but I’m having a lot of fun exploring new directions with line and colour, work that can be seen on Bright’s (my illustration agent) site.
